CASTE Dismiss

'CLASS dismiss' - This reminds me of my school days prayer meetings. And if you were a school leader, you know it better. Now, I want to be that leader, standing in front of this whole society and command - "CASTE dismiss". I guess many of us want to do the same. Yeah, I know because we are 90's kids and we are the top victims of this disease.

 

Saying that I am not against this so-called CASTE. But, what is more, bothering me is the way the CASTE is perceived. Actually, it lost the purpose of its origin.

 

CASTE came into the picture to reflect your JOB / Work. It defines your way of living. It displays one's dignity of labour. All jobs are equally important, so do the CASTE. 

 

But, as generations passed, I really don't understand how this CASTE has entered into our blood and DNA. Seriously, HOW? 

 

CASTE is an heirloom passed down to next generations in the form of work. It doesn't have anything to do with blood and DNA. Also, marriages have happened within the CASTE because their WAY OF LIVING matches and that absolutely makes sense. 

 

But, CASTE has undergone a transformation. With the advancement of technology, nobody wants to follow their parents( i mean in terms of work). They have their own dreams and for everyone Sky is the limit. So the Result is - Priest daughter becomes Doctor - Farmer son becomes Engineer. 

 

So If we apply The ACTUAL meaning of CASTE to the current society, I can only figure out a few CASTES -  Doctor, Engineers (Includes all Engineers), Business and Government jobs. There are other minor CASTEs too- like  CA, Artists etc ( these are some sample castes around me). 

 

So, when two Engineers of two different 'typical CASTE' marry, it is actually not INTER CASTE marriage because their nature of work is the same, their lifestyle matches which actually fulfils the guidelines of THE CASTE. Hence proved that they belong to the same CASTE called Engineers.

 

But, some of our parents and grandparents who got stuck in old generations, still believe that CASTE is a blood group and if any transfusion happens between two different groups will leads to incompatibility reaction. 

            

I know its really tough to take all our elders back to basics of CASTE. And you will definitely know the importance of basics if you are an outcome of CHAITHANYA or NARAYANA factory. 

 

So we have to stop this wrong notion and should gift a healthy society for our kids.

 

           'CASTE is not what you are made of...CASTE is what you do for your living'
